Director, Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations

Nic Caputo

Nicolas Caputo Tellez (Nic Caputo) was named Director of the Department of State's Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations in February 2023.

Caputo is a native of Bogota, Colombia, and lived in Ontario, Canada for six years. In 2008, he realized his dream of moving to the United States and relocated to Lancaster County.

During a twelve-year tenure at Fulton Bank, Caputo held various leadership roles in the residential and small business banking departments. In 2020, he became Director of Operations for Daflure Heating, Cooling, and Solar.

Caputo attended the University of Toronto's school of engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Bellevue University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area Class of 2020 and a recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40 Award in 2021. 

Caputo is devoted to the welfare of the community and has held various leadership and support roles in non-profit organizations, including Vickie's Angel Foundation, Hershey Area Arts Association, Rotary International and United Way.

Caputo also is an award-winning visual artist. He lives in Lancaster County with his wife Alyssa, their son Oliver, and their dog Chester.
