Nurse Licensure Compact
Effective September 5, 2023, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses who hold current multistate licenses through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) will be able to provide in-person and telehealth services to PA patients. Please review information about the NLC and, if necessary, consult with your employer to determine whether a Pennsylvania issued license is required based upon your state of residency, facility requirements, or need to obtain a CRNP or CNS certification.
Renewal Information
A notice for renewal will be sent biennially prior to the expiration date of the current license or certification. Failure to receive the notice for renewal will not relieve you of the responsibility of renewing your license by the expiration date. It is required that you update your address with the Board within 14 days of any change. The license will be mailed to the address on record. It will not be forwarded by the post office.
